Account Types

MapleLedger can be used without an account, but creating a free account gives you monthly scan access and lets MapleLedger connect scan benefits to your account.

MapleLedger is local-first. Your financial records stay on your device by default, while account-connected features can help with scan access, rewarded scan credits, referrals, and subscription benefits.

Free Account

Start with Account Level & Benefits.

Benefits

  • Start at Account Level 0 with 3 monthly Account receipt scans
  • Earn Account XP from eligible activity, then manually claim Levels when enough XP is available
  • Claimed Levels gradually increase the monthly Account scan allowance toward a maximum of 12
  • Levels that do not increase the monthly scan allowance award Reward Points instead
  • Reward Points remain linked to the signed-in account, can be saved for later, and do not expire
  • When the normal scan allowance is used up, 1 Reward Point can cover 1 additional receipt scan
  • Rewarded scan credits and referral rewards remain linked to the signed-in account where supported
  • Reward Points are separate from Premium, rewarded-ad scan credits, and the normal monthly Account scan allowance
  • Account Level benefits remain available alongside Premium Lite or Premium and remain separate from subscription benefits
  • Banner ads may still appear
  • Some exports or backups may require rewarded ads on supported platforms

Premium Lite

More scans and no ad interruptions.

  • 100 receipt scans per month
  • No banner ads
  • No rewarded ads required for scan access
  • No rewarded ads required for exports or backups
  • Unlimited Excel exports
  • Attachment exports and full backups with attachments
  • Same 2 Bookkeeping & Tax Tracking project limit as Free
  • Eligible registered users retain Account Level benefits alongside the subscription
  • Good fit for users who scan receipts regularly but do not need full Premium
  • No carryforward scans
  • No unlimited bookkeeping projects

Premium

For heavy users who want larger scan capacity, carryforward, and unlimited projects.

Benefits

  • Everything in Premium Lite
  • 300 receipt scans per month
  • Up to 100 unused scans roll over each month
  • Maximum scan balance of 1000
  • Unlimited Bookkeeping & Tax Tracking projects
  • Best for frequent scanning, landlords, self-employed users, and small-business bookkeeping
