Known Issues

Android 11 startup issue on a small number of devices

Status: Monitoring

We have observed a startup compatibility issue on a small number of Android 11 devices running MapleLedger 1.4.2. On affected installations, MapleLedger may close before the app opens.

Reported examples include Honor HRY-LX1T and OnePlus 8 Pro. These examples are not a complete list and do not establish that device age or model is the cause.

Recommended action

Update MapleLedger to the latest version through Google Play.

Monitoring of MapleLedger 1.4.3 has not shown the same startup issue so far. We are continuing to monitor it, so this does not guarantee that every affected installation has recovered.

This issue occurs before MapleLedger opens and is unrelated to receipt or PDF scanning.

If MapleLedger still closes after you update, contact MapleLedger Support and include your device model, Android version, MapleLedger version, and a short description of what happened.

Platform Differences

Camera controls on iOS and Android

MapleLedger’s receipt camera controls vary by platform.

On supported Android devices, the receipt camera includes tap-to-focus. On iPhone and iPad, MapleLedger uses its in-app camera with automatic focus, receipt or invoice framing, light and zoom controls, and photo review, but it does not currently include a tap-to-focus control.

Receipt capture and OCR scanning are supported on both platforms. The difference is in the available camera controls, not receipt-scanning availability.
