Account Access
MapleLedger can be used without an account, but signing in connects scan benefits and referral rewards to your account. Signing in does not turn MapleLedger into cloud bookkeeping sync.
- Anonymous users: can use core local features on supported mobile platforms, receive a one-time starter scan allowance, do not receive monthly account-backed scans, do not get cross-device scan access, and cannot use referral rewards.
- Free signed-in users: keep the Free plan, receive account-backed monthly scan access, can use account-backed rewarded scan credits where supported, can link referral rewards, and have better continuity across devices.

Exports, Backups, and Restore
Free Excel-only report exports and records-only backups share one successful free download allowance each calendar month. Free attachment-inclusive exports and full backups are limited to 4 successful sessions per calendar year. Failed or cancelled attempts do not consume these allowances.
Expense Submission export rules are different from Bookkeeping & Tax Tracking exports. Free users can continue exporting Expense Submission reports with attachments, but each successful export may require a rewarded ad on supported platforms. Expense Submission exports do not use the yearly 4-session attachment export limit used by Bookkeeping & Tax Tracking.
Restore is available when the selected backup passes validation. Restore is not locked behind a subscription.
Important Notes
- Prices shown are Canadian prices. Final pricing may vary by country, currency, taxes, platform, and checkout.
- Mobile purchases are handled through Apple App Store or Google Play where available.
- Web checkout opens through RevenueCat-hosted checkout with Paddle as merchant of record.
- After web checkout, subscription access may require Refresh Subscription in Settings before the app shows the updated entitlement.
- Project limits apply only to Bookkeeping & Tax Tracking. Expense Submission does not use projects.
- Batch Scan Packs are priced separately from Free, Premium Lite, and Premium subscriptions. Batch Scan Pack pricing is available on the Batch page. Batch Scan Packs do not unlock Premium app features, and Premium subscriptions do not include Batch Scan Pack credits.
- MapleLedger remains local-first. Core record-keeping features can be used offline, while purchase, restore, and subscription verification flows require internet. Payment systems do not receive income records, expense records, mileage records, receipt attachments, exports, or backups.
